The Cabo Verde Tenth Island Project is an enhanced STEM distance learning program. The teachers at Super School University are helping students to create the world most perfect island. We are using custom software designed for Mac's, PC's, iPhones and iPads. This project allows our STEM team to collaborate with teacher and student from 34 different countries. We all have the same goal. We want to use Enhanced STEM topics such as: science, technology, engineering, mathematics, digital arts, visual and performing arts and foreign languages to help to make this world a better place.
On April 15, 2011, Bob Barboza traveled to the Cabo Verde Islands to present the Cabo Tenth Island Project at the Fifth Congreso. He later met with Cape Verde President Pedro Pires ask for permission to work with the uninhabited island of Santa Luzia, Cape Verde. Permission was grated and we formed a working relationship with the University of Cape Verde. Kids Talk Radio Science, Super School Teen TV, Youth World News and Kids Talk Radio World will coordinate all of the communication for this project.
Our goals is to create Kids Talk Radio Science Teams in 34 countries and to present all of our findings at the Super School University International Youth Congreso on the Cape Verde Islands in 2014.
We Need Student Interns and Teachers for our Tenth Island Enhanced STEM* Project.
We are planning a new project where teachers and students are going to work together from different schools from around the world. We call our project, "The Tenth Island Project." Our master plan involves our teams working with teachers and students on the Cabo Verde Islands. There are ten Cabo Verde Islands. One of them is called Santa Luzia. This island for the most part is uninhabited. This makes it perfect for our experiment. Our task is to build a virtual island. It takes a team to do this. You can find more information on our Apple Site.
Our new intern program will make it possible for students and teachers to receive the training that they need to accomplish all of our programs goals and objectives. We need student to become interns in one or more of the following programs:
Kids Talk Radio
Super School Teen TV
Super School Press
Jr. Medical School
Jr. Law School
Jr. Business School
Jr. Engineering School
Jr. Music School
Youth World News
Jr. Communication and Journalism School
What is an "Enhanced STEM Program? The US Department of education wants American Schools to focus on and push science, technology, engineering and mathematics. Our programs now include science, technology, engineering, mathematics, digital arts, visual and performing arts and foreign languages. We have new tools that have been developed for the iPhone and iPad. In addition, we have an international station called Kids Talk Radio World. This along with Journalist-in-Box hardware and software will make it possible for students to collaborate on an international level. We will create the worlds most perfect island on a virtual level.
